Connecting students to the world.

Company style class.

In my group open classes you will experience an international style I developed based on my extensive career in Europe and America- I call it company style ballet class.

I focuses on enjoyable technical exercises that move you around the studio to replicate what you will be required to do on stage as a professional. I have taught classes to companies overseas and in Australia with dancers commenting on how much they enjoy my unique, fun and challenging teaching style.

Build the foundation.

When I teach children across all levels in group classes I focus on technique, a well executed basic class that adheres to technique from a Vaganova syllabus. The key to future success for children of a young age is to learn how to develop their technique correctly from the start. They must be challenged and the exercises must be designed to develop a strong base technique early. This will ensure students, who in the future wanting to pursue a professional career, have the necessary foundation from which to proceed.

Empower and educate.

When it comes to my teaching method of utmost importance is seeing children enjoying their ballet training - it must be something they want to be doing. I love to see the children learning, growing and enjoying themselves. I do challenge them. In the form of strength building with longer exercises. This way of working provides rapid results in progressing their technique and strength. My goal is to empower and educate students so that can quickly adapt to life in a professional ballet school overseas. Schools such as the Royal Ballet School, Paris Opéra Ballet School and many German and other European ballet schools.

Train correctly.

It’s very important to not waste time but rather to train correctly always no matter the age-so there is the option to advance to a professional career. For many years I have now been working together with ballet schools including The Australian Ballet School and the Queensland Ballet School.

I do believe talent is important-of course but I can also guarantee you that it is a myth that there is only one specific type of dancer. If your child is devoted to ballet, wants to improve and is prepared to work hard then there is possibilities for that child to be successful.

No perfect body.

To be accepted into a ballet company is not just about the perfect ballet body. Many directors are not only after high insteps, swayback legs and tricks and turns. It is as much about personality, supported by strong clean and precise basic ballet technique. High legs are great, flexibility is a must but if you can learn to perform a solid audition and show that you are a clean artistic dancer, you may be surprised to realise you may go much further in the auditions than someone with only tricks and swayback legs!

Success is earned.

For over ten years I have been educating young students in Australia about what is truly important and necessary to become a professional ballet dancer.

I have even had success with a male students who were 18-20 years old when they began with me but my unique training and their hard work, focus and drive enabled them all to secure a professional company contract overseas.

Connecting students to the world.

I continue to introduce my students to the world of ballet through successful entry into international ballet competitions . Through my decades long, vast network of directors, ballet masters, choreographers, conductors, current and former ballet artists from the most famous ballet company’s on the planet. I have built my reputation on one thing more than any other… connecting students to the world!

What really is important is that you have the drive, passion and desire to learn and that it comes from within you not from your family, school or friends but deep inside you as a young artist.

If you do - we can work together and make it happen!
